Distant Voices brings together people who have first-hand experience of criminal justice with some of Scotland’s best contemporary songwriters. This first album emerges out of around 300 songs written through creative connections forged within both prisons and community justice settings. Not Known at this Address explores our collective insights into ‘coming home’.
Distant Voices is a partnership project between Vox Liminis, the University of Glasgow, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of the West of Scotland. It is supported by Creative Scotland, the Economic and Social Research Council & the Arts and Humanities Research Council (grant ref no: ES/P002536/1), and the Scottish Prison Service.
