"I wanted to write a song about my mum as I lost her a few years ago and was left with some unresolved emotions and regrets. The song is about the struggles in her life as well as the difficulties we had in our relationship. I wanted every line to mean something and every section of the song to be a part of her life.
The song was in me waiting for a release and writing it felt easy and good and did this in a couple of days.
I shared it with my friend Louis and after some chatting on the phone we met up at the studio and after a few hours we made a tune that fits well with the lyrics."
